Blue Shift launched on MTV Geek!

Yesterday Blue Shift made it's debut on MTV Geek! The first 5 pages of the first issue of Blue Shift are now up on the website. I did not contribute any color work to the first issue however the cover image (seen below) was colored by me.

Here's the link to the Blue Shift blog on MTV Geek. There you can find interviews, trailers and some excerpts from the comic. If you don't know anything about Blue Shift yet and you want to get your feet wet, that's the place to start. And here's the link to read the comic when you're ready to give it a go. 5 pages will be released every Friday so swing on by and check it out.

I'll make another announcement once the issue that I worked on starts getting released. Until then, enjoy the first issue of Blue Shift!!

Old sketch, fresh paint...well, as fresh as 'digital paint' can be

Here's a character that started out as a doodle in my sketchbook, probably over a year ago. I was always fond of the drawing (that I never finished) so I decided to paint it up today and I'm really pleased with the outcome. It's funny because I was having a lot of problems with his left hand and his legs back when I first started drawing this. Finishing it up a year later made all the problems I was having before easier to tackle.

Sketchbook Animals

Here's a bunch of animals sketches I've done recently in my sketchbook. I'm going to paint a few of them up so stay tuned for those.

Frightened Spirit Finish

I finally finished this up and so I thought I'd share it. I'm really happy with how it turned out! I was looking at a lot of Steve Prescott's character drawings and Jesper Ejsing's paintings for inspiration.
